Now i will have to buy a redmi phone as it is feature rich. Even high end Samsung phones do not support the mentioned 2 features i.e 3.5 mm jack for wired ear phones and a seperate slot for memory card

My phone charges slowly it takes at least 2 and a half hour to fully charge from 0%. While using for around 10 mins the battery drains by 3%. Is this normal. My phone is 5yrs old.

No. When you buy a phone they must tell you how long Samsung will give you updates. It is like an agreement which you do with samsung while buying the phone. The policy cannot change later.

But how are you so sure about it. What if there is glitch in the software which requires an update which Samsung has not yet realeased.

You have to hold volume and power button together I suppose. As i do it for a different model.
