I think there should be some single tap icon to clear the cache for multiple apps in one go as it would save time and efforts also we would be able to select apps as per choice.
You should always update it at that time when you are slept becoz the phone is cool and there will be no excessive heating to cause line issue etcI have been using samsung phones since childhood and haven't seen any display problem in them
