Samsung couldn't deliver. Disappointment. However, you can upgrade by rooting the device. Also, they introduced one UI with Android P, which will not aesthetically look good on S7 edge rectangular screen.

Just like Apple iphones, atleast for all galaxy series phones shouldn't be restricted to only two software upgrades. Samsung should promise updates as long as the phones' hardware supports
You don't work in Samsung or have any credentials to speak on their behalf. And certainly you should not tell what is enough or not enough to a larger audience.
