for the badges this might be the solution and for the notifications try rebooting your device and maybe it will fix the problem if not then I'm sorry I can't help anymore
swipe down and turn off (don't disturb ) in the notification panel if not try changing the notifications tone maybe you set it silent if not go to setting > notifications > show all and check if any notifications are off
that depends on you if you wear a tight jeans and your pocket is not comfortable enough this will crack the screen try to put your phone in a bigger pocket
