I contacted the samsung customer support team and they said to rest the phone. I did but it did not help. I went to service center and they said apparently the update caused the sensor to malfunction and would nee replacing
it happened a week after the security update. i am really careful with my phone and the phone was never near a water source. it works when brightness is at minimum but green screen come up if i increase the brightness.
