if it has recognized , then go to notification in Galaxy A50 , there will be an option , usb device controlled by , select "this device" option , then try to charge with normal charger , you will see your device will start charging.
one thing, when connected to laptop does your laptop recognize A50 or not , because in my case , "USB device not recognized" notification pops up in laptop, but still phone charges
