Samsung why did you remove the dedicated fingerprint for secure folder function? Really disappointed in the S21 not having it while it was an awesome feature on my s9+.

Please don't confuse this function with fingerprint unlock. The function I am looking for enabled you to use a finger you don't normally use, ie like your pinky, to unlock and open your secure folder.

I honestly feel the S21 is moving back as far as functions is concerned. Please there is no reason to remove this function! Bring it back.

It was never removed buddy...still there where you left it...I got my S21+ Thursday an my secure folder works with my fingerprint

¹ Go into your secure folder via pattern/pin
² Then tap on the 3 dots in the top right corner
³ Then tap on settings
⁴ Tap on lock type, it will ask for pattern/pin
⁵ Then enable "use your biometrics to unlock your secure folder"

remember all fingerprints registered on your phone biometrics will be able to enter your secure folder...just saying! pattern or pin will be much more secure...

that's the thing, on my S8 and S9 you could set a specific fingerprint to unlock secure folder. On my S20+ and S21 Ultra, that function has disappeared

AjayaMay you are confused with what we are saying. Read carefully what I am saying. Previously there was a function where the secure folder was hidden. You could not see it anywhere on your phone. The only way to get to it was to link it to a certain fingerprint. (like your pinky) When you use that dedicated fingerprint to unlock your phone it would open the secure folder. All other registered fingers will just work like a pin code or pattern. Please don't confuse it with just unlocking the secure folder by using a fingerprint.

Thank you for trying to help, but learn about the function first before giving advice.
