Yeah they changed it and its working good so far. I had this issue in January, a week or two after installing Android 10. The service centre people looked at it just for 2 minutes and they said we would have to replace the display. Since there were no other people having the same issue I decided to go ahead with it. Nope, I haven't dropped it or anything and I use a spigen case too.

Dude just faced the same issue back in 2019 around in november, my phone was 1 year 1month old out of warranty.... this started with the flickering and then this same colour fading at lower brightness....and when the brightness was at max the screen was normal.... I firstly thought that it might be any bug or software issue as it was stated in the online articles and I tried to boot the phone in safe mode....and then it was totally gone .... This happened after facing the flickering issue for 10 15 days. Finally, when visited service centre they didn't provide any cause for the problem but only few words .... you would have to get it replaced..... and I was like what ..... ended up with replacing the display and a 17k cut in my bank account....just remembering the painful day after looking at your screenshots....Note9 definitely have some issue in hardware which they are hiding.....forsure....

This and many other posts show that lot of people got their screens damaged right from sep 2019 onwards. Many have changed in warranty so not much hue and cry came out. But now since all of a sudden, a large % of out of warranty devices got affected right from Feb to April. This shows that samsung may is using sub par parts or if it's an issue with Exynos processors only, or going by the apple way in pushing damaging updates to fry our screens there by making more money by spare parts.

I don't know man but there is definitely some serious hardware issue with note 9 ..... either it is due there exynos processor as it gets way too hot than snapdragon on power using or it may be a display issue..... but I think only exynos versions are facing this.....
