Check for debris in the charging port and clean it with isopropyl solution. Ensure fast charging is enabled in Settings > Battery > Charging. Also, diagnose your phone in Device Care app for problems. If still problem persists then try hard reset
Try putting the app in deep sleep mode. You can even try clearing the cache & data memory first, then uninstall it and reinstall it. I hope it will sort out the issue.
