Rich Communication Services (RCS) is a communication protocol between mobile telephone carriers and between phone and carrier, aiming at replacing SMS messages with a text-message system that is richer, provides phonebook polling (for service discovery), and can transmit in-call multimedia. It is part of broader IP Multimedia Subsystem.

The Rich Communication Suite industry initiative was formed by a group of industry promoters in 2007. In February 2008 the GSM Association officially became the project 'home' of RCS and an RCS steering committee was established by the organisation.

Samsung is the major device OEM to support RCS globally. Samsung RCS capable devices have been commercially launched in Europe since 2012 and in the United States since 2015.

It is also marketed as Advanced Messaging, Chat, joyn, SMSoIP, Message+, and SMS+.

Dear Arulkumar, all these features are good. But phone is ment to talk and if you are not able to do the basic function properly then all crazy features are time waste. hope you agree with me.. i bought M31 on the first day through Amazon and since then I have proximity sensor issue. the call goes on hold or starts recording on it's own... looking like crazy AI is working.... during call the screen turns on and the 3 dots submenu gets activated... called customer care.... told to remove screen guard done. told to reset... did but nothing happened. later I was told to delete true caller done that too... but samsung still did not revert to solve problem. so please tell what I need to do... #galaxy #M31 #64MP #hopelesssamsung
