Does Samsung Messages support RCS?

I've been switch back and forth with my message apps (Google and Samsung), Samsung looks very catchy but doubt if it support RCS

I have S22 ultra and S23 Both supporting RCS. I updatod to UI6 both phones

Let me remind you of one thing RCS is available through Samsung Messages on some carriers, but not all of them.

I'm on Etisalat (both the phones). My settings screen doesn't have the chat feature settings (screenshot above).

Vodafone and Ooredoo support it here in Qatar

In UAE , RCS is supported with Google messages. And Google messages is the default messaging app in Galaxy phones since 2022. Samsung messages doesn't support RCS here.

RCS will be available only if the data sim and the default sms is set to be the same. Try setting these to the same sim and try one again.

Thanks. I'm using a single sim for both data and voice and it's the default.
Tried same sim on my old Galaxy note. There, Samsung messages support RCS.

But I found RCS in Google messages more stable. Only feature I'm missing is the categories.
