I've been using the AKG wired C-type headphones on my S24 for a long time now but from the past 2 days whenever I plug the earphones in the phone notifies me that and high power USB device is connected and it needs an external power supply. It also says that the phone is not able to access the device but the earphones and the port on the phone is completely fine. So I wanna ask if it's a glitch/error or can there be any hardware issue. ( I have not found any hardware damage on both the devices, the phone and the earphones )

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your query, we would like to inform you that your device supports USB Type C headphones. If you wish to use standard headphones with a 3.5mm jack, we recommend purchasing a headset jack adapter (USB Type C to 3.5mm).

1. Connect the jack adapter to your phone first.
2. Then connect the 3.5mm Headsets to the jack adapter.

● Check the physical condition of headphones: Take a look at the connector on your headphones and make sure it's not bent or broken, and that the cable is not damaged.
The easiest way to figure out what's causing the issue is to try another headphones on your phone or try your current headphones with another device.

● Check left-right sound balance settings: You may encounter a situation when the audio is coming only from one side of the headphones.

● In this situation, it is advised to check the Left/right sound balance settings. Sound balance controls the balance of the sound of the media player when you are using headphones. If the balanced value is set only to one side of the headphones that is either left or right then a sound could be heard according to the selected direction.

● Adjust the left/right balance of the sound (except calls) when using headphones through the below steps: Settings> Accessibility> Hearing enhancements> Adjust left/right sound balance.

● Check the device by connecting other headphones: The easiest way to figure out what's causing the issue is to try other headphones on your phone or try your current headphones with another device.

● Reset the device Settings: Settings > General Management > Reset settings>Reset all settings to their default.

If still facing issues, please visit the service center for a physical inspection of your device and headphones. You can locate your nearest service center with this given link: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/service-center/

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
