I'm using SAMSUNG S25, I have a doubt regarding RAM PLUS on my device, I have set it to maximum of 8GB of virtual ram. What I wanna know is does it really matters, or how will it affects the performance adversely or positively?

Virtual RAM is created on your phone's storage, which is slower than your actual RAM. So, it is a gimmick. Performance will not be halted, but there is no use case for creating virtual RAM.

Turn it off. Unnecessary wear and tear on SSD. Plus 12 GB ram doesn't get totally used up usually (unless you overkill with multi tasking). Probability for performance taking a dip is higher than vice versa

SSD is not used. Flash memory is used instead.😊

Ramplus is good for memory intensive applications. A part of storage is converted as a RAM, virtual RAM so to speak.
If you are not using memory intensive apps then it is better to switch it off. Maintaining RAMplus strains the battery

If you have already 12GB RAM you don't need to activate RAM+. RAM+ memory is only used little when you open lots of apps at a same time not all the time. So it is good that you decativate it because 12GB is more enough.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we want to inform you that the Ram plus feature utilizes internal storage as virtual memory to enhance device performance, allowing for more apps to run in the background efficiently. However, I'm curious about your thoughts on its effectiveness, specifically regarding any potential downsides to this feature, such as performance slowdowns caused by relying heavily on virtual RAM.

We do not recommend using it, as it appears to negatively impact device performance and can lead to slower operation.

If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to reach out.

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
