Galaxy NoteHi All, You may have seen this problem already in
1)Initially, when I unlock phone by pressing power button the display was changed to dim colour(mostly yellowish) and with horizontal lines displayed when the brightness is below 50%. After tried with multiple times pressing on power button the display came back to normal.
2) Next stage, it's not solved with power button. I have to keep my phone aside for some time to get back to normal display. It's been 15 to 20 min then.
3) Now, I would get normal display only in morning. Else, I need to keep my phone idle without touching for at least 4 to 5 hours. I've also changed screen power off time from 30 Sec to 10 Minutes. So that my screen wont turn off and I can keep the normal display. If I forgot to use or kept aside more than 10 min then my screen would go off and display would gone again and irritation starts with that discoloration problem..
4) If display changes to yellowish to reduce the horizontal lines problem I need to increase the brightness to 80 or 85% but this causing my phone with another problem "heating issue"

Galaxy NoteHello Sir,
I have been facing the same issue in the very same stages as you have.
I have also noticed that numerous amount of note 9 , s9, s8 users have also been facing the same problem and have come up with using tap to display or other third party apps like oled saver to temporarily fix the problem and I'm afraid I'm not satisfied with those solutions.
Checking in to see if you were able to hear back from Samsung or has found any proper solution to this problem.
Thanking you for your time and awaiting for your reply.
Yours sincerely,
A fellow galaxy note user.

Galaxy NoteI always thought the Samsungs and Apples of the world to be a square shooter, and phew, just about as warranty gets over, you're hit with an epiphany. Chinese, for sake of it, dont over-promise and under deliver. Planned obsolescence, until yesterday was a hackneyed notion of simpleton, or so I thought.

Galaxy NoteOh no !
I'm in the same boat :(
It is fine for some time, then it start showing
- horizontal lines with yellow tint
- sometime brightness increases and everything becomes sparkly and greenish
- becomes hot and unresponsive or very slow (I usually close it when that happen because I fear the heating up will kill it if I leave it open)
It just started happening suddently a few weeks ago.
I paid 2000$ (CAD) for a phone that is dying out after only 3 years.
Planned obsolescence ?
Note: I did try to wipe the cache partition, then I proceeded to factory reset the phone. Both operation did not produce a positive result and the problem is still occuring.
I might or might not follow up with small claims court (Canada thing), which state that a product should work for a reasonnable amount of time under law. A phone that expensive should not be something you have to replace after 3 years, unless you choose to.
