My Note 9 is One week old, everything was superb and I love this fantastic device, but it didnt last long... 3 days back suddenly when I open the live focus camera in a broad day light the camera stared behaving weirdly. The images in the live focus view looked blurry and i can hear a motor sound from the device continuously ( not like the vibration) but just the sound.. finally the camera is not focusing in live focus mode - no cool DSLR type photos from my device. I search through the internet and I couldn't find any one who is having this issues - a faulty device ? should I take it to Service center or any one of the community members having the same issue ?

Many Note 4 Models had the same problem and samsung never fixed them. It happens due to faulty camera auto focus hardware. No software can fix this.

You should take it to customer care, although they won't have a clue at the beginning. Samsung probably doesn't know about this issue yet. If a issue is widely reported, samsung sends guidelines to customer care centers. So you should take it to care center so that samsung becomes aware that they have faulty camera modules in some units.

I took it to the nearest Service center in Bangalore - Excellent response from the service center staff, they flashed my device with my permission to make sure that it is not some software glitch. They called the design engineers from Noida and had a live video call with them to explain the problem . They told me that this is the first Note 9 device we are accepting all over India due to hardware issue, all others issues reported were sent back to customers ad NDF (No defect found). They clearly told me that they will replace my device with brand new one but will take a day or two since Samsung will send some Engineer to Service Center to verify the defect, once he approves they said they will provide me with a new one on the spot. They also gave me a alternate device to keep my communication ON (Note 5).

day 2: Samsung service centre guys said that the replacement is approved but will get the device tomorrow.
