Galaxy Note 8 issues after July 2020 security update.

Very serious issues after July security update which was released today for India.

SIM card read error, No IMEI#, Cannot login to Samsung services. SIM manager freezing.

Require urgent OTA fix as I am without phone service now.

Samsung has rolled out a patch on 29th July to fix this issue.

Samsung rolled out another update and it fixed the issue. you can do it yourself if you have laptop with you or goto service center. i will recommend to get it fixed from service center itself. Tried myself but it failed a few times making my phone totally kind of dead. later service center guy fixed it. I paid 236 rupees (200 plus 36 tax) for software update.

You shouldnt have paid a penny as the OTA  update caused the error in the first place...we should seriously consider sueing samsung for the obviously faulty july security patch..

Hey guys, if you have access to wifi go ahead and sign in. Then in your settings scroll down to system updates and click on it. Updated your PRL and Profile. And it should fix the issue. If it keeps happening, just update those two, atleast it's a temporary solution.. good luck.
