My whatsapp show a red star on upper left side on whatsapp icon..???Is this because of security bug..???

Uninstall and then reinstall WhatsApp.

after uninstall same problem occurred

yes. same here. my WhatsApp and paytm both are showing that same start after 2.1 update

then, if this is occurring for many devices after some particular update mens that is because of the update , so resolve check for the future updates 👍🏻
