I had faced this issue few days back. I guess it was due to the Instagram beta version which I was using. Opted out from the Beta updates. Later I got an update from Instagram. And now it's working fine. Hope it's the app's issue.
That's sad to hear! I believe Google Wallet provides more universally applicable features, such as the ability to add different location Metro cards. Additionally, the automatic addition of train tickets from Gmail is a highly convenient feature.
