Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased the galaxy s21 256gb and I realised that the phone becomes really hot after a few minutes of using. I searched online and found that a lot of people are actually facing the same issue. I downloaded the latest software updates hoping that the problem would go away but it still persists. The sad part is that I am not even using my phone very heavily and yet it's getting hot. I have read on some posts that you need to switch off 5g and stop using for the phone for a few minutes to let it cool.down but that shouldn't be the case. I didn't pay so much money to get a phone that will dictate how I use it. Samsung should come up with a proper fix for it. I have not seen any official communication from Samsung acknowledging the matter.

Anyone else found a fix for the issue ?

Thanks

There is no fix! We do all suffer the same. Never buying a Samsung phone again!

Hi,

Please bring the device to a Samsung Service Center to have it checked out.

Or, call the call the call center and request for remote assitance to check the device and running apps.

Hi there,

Firstly, if the issue continues please bring the device to a Samsung Service Center to have it checked out and help resolve the issue.

Also please note, these are the reasons lead your phone warms up in order to avoid if you are doing any of them:

• While using the device in an environment, where the ambient temperature is higher, you may feel that the device is getting hotter than usual.

• Intensive camera use

• Using apps that require more power or using apps for extended periods

• While multitasking or when running many apps in the background

• Mobile use while charging

• Blocked ventilation

• Poor signal strength

• Charging the battery with a damaged USB cable

• Charging port is damaged or exposed to foreign materials, such as liquid, dust, metal powder, and pencil lead

Also, there are ways to cool your phone and keep it efficient:

• Keep the device updated with the latest software.

• Remove the phone’s case

• Move it apart from direct sunlight

• Reduce the display brightness

• Deactivate the Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth features when not using them

• Close apps that increase battery consumption or that run in the background when not in use

• Delete unnecessary files or unused apps

• Stop using the phone while charging

• For a device with a removable battery, the battery can be stored separately in locations with an ambient temperature of 0 °C to 45 °C.
