JIO service for eSIM is fast . Airtel is slow they are taking 5 days to register your email id

In my experience airtel took 2 hrs to activated.

for prepaid users they need to first register their email id.. this registration process took almost 5 days after that all process through SMS are easy.. I requested them on 22 for email updation still no action yet

Guys , please beware of limitations of eSIM before you change.
1) Issues reported with UPI activation, GPay etc.
2) Problems with some programs which send and detect sms
3) Issues with getting new SIM if phone is lost

These are some issues I read , especially India.

So convert to eSIM only if you need it (like using hybrid sim for memory card)

Else think and then do conversion.

Airtel does a much better job as far as eSIM activation is concerned. For Jio, I heard that it isn't possible from home/online. Is that really the case? If not, can you provide me with the SMS format and the number to which it has to be sent?
