DTTW - Double Tap to Wake
DTTS - Double Tap to Sleep
AOD - Always On Display
Hello there!
I'm new here and it's been a pleasure to join the community. I'll be posting tips and reviews to help users out there and contribute my two cents for this awesome community. You can contact me on XDA-Developers as well as Facebook too (Details at bottom).
I know you're missing the Double tap to wake and sleep feature on the beast, S7! Well, there is possibly some patent/copyright issue regarding this for Samsung since there seem to be no problem in implementing this considering they already have the AOD feature. Anyways, I've mentioning the workaround you can try for each of them. The discussion is always open for morw suggestions and questions.
DDTW - You may double tap on a notification icon on AOD to wake up the screen. Also, if you have enabled edge feed, you also tap on those to wake up the screen. While an edge feed is being displayed, you can touch the fingerprint scanner with anyone of the registered fingers to turn on the screen as well as unlocking it at the same time.
DDTS - You can install a launcher like Nova and enable the double tap gesture. Go to Settings > Gestures > Double Tap > Activities > Sleep. You will now be able to turn off the screen while tapping anywhere twice while on the home screen.
Hope this helps. Please put up suggestions and please feel free to ask any doubt regarding this. Thank you. :)
Regards,
Paras Lehana
