WhatsApp image not shown in gallery recently

Old, latest WhatsApp images not shown in gallery, folder is also not there now, earlierit was present, 
Images shown in WhatsApp chat if i save image from WhatsApp chat then it will show.
I checked for permission but all necessary permission is granted.

is it software update issue or WhatsApp issue???

issue is there in M31 & S22 

is anyone else is also facing same issue?

Go to whatsapp, select contact, click on name, select media visibility, you will see options 3 options 1.default 2.Yes 3.No
Select yes, images will be shown in gallery, hope this will do

It sounds like you're experiencing a common issue where WhatsApp images are not appearing in the Gallery app, even though they're visible within the WhatsApp chat and you've granted all the necessary permissions. The fact that this is happening on both your Galaxy M31 and S22 suggests it might be a software or WhatsApp issue rather than a device-specific problem.

Here are some methods you can try.

Turn on media visibility in whatsapp to on. This allows the images to become available in whatsapp folder.

Reset App Preference. The App preference remembers settings that you may have established previously. To reset it, follow these instructions.
If the above step fails, I highly recommend using Samsung App.

Report the problem you are facing.

Please perform the below-mentioned troubleshooting steps, these may help in resolving your concern.

1: Open WhatsApp > Settings > Chats > Turn on Media Visibility.

2: Clear an app's cache: From Settings, swipe to and tap Apps (Gallery, WhatsApp). Select the app you want to clear. Tap Storage, and then tap Clear Cache.

3: Switch off your phone for a few minutes and then switch it on and wait for a few minutes.

4: Update the App if available (Gallery, WhatsApp). Update software: Menu>apps>settings>software update>install.

5: Reset app preferences: Setting >> Apps >> Three dots on the right top >> Reset app preferences.

In case the issue still occurs, kindly contact the particular application helpline once, to make sure there is no issue from their end. You can reach the app developer through the email channel for which you please login to Play Store> select more option> select installed app> click on read more.

If the issue persists, kindly report the problems with a log file. To share a log file, click on the Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on send feedback> Choose Composer> Select error report> select the appropriate issue category> Type your query and send).

still it doesn't work,
Samsung Gallery shows this in play store for s22::
"This app is no longer compatible with your device. Contact the developers for more info"

it worked after deleting WhatsApp folder from gallery
and then performed above steps again.
