What is invisible backup??

I got the msg that free space to delete invisible backup, whats that?

•  I have the same question.  In your suggestions to remedy. I didn't see that you addressed  question. I don't use any cloud drives for storage . And I don't imagine that any photos, videos or any files,  downloads etc. That I may deem unnecessary or redundant. Would be labeled as invisible back ups. Can you please address specifically. What the term : invisible backup" is in reference to?    When I push the button to " select files". It merely takes me to the main " my files directory ". Which leaves one wondering what is " invisible backup" , considering it tells me about duplicates and the directly shows me those photos or video files, skipping any main file menus..  thank you for directly defining " invisible backups" for those of us with this quandry.

I believe invisible backup refers to the backups of original files after phot editing. So, when you open a photo in gallery and click the pencil icon to edit, the option to "revert" will be grayed out after you delete invisible backups. I was able to clear 6 GB of space after deleting invisible backups. I don't need the revert option on photos I've edited many months ago.

The invisible backups are the originals of your edited images. As samsung allows you to revert edited images back to their original form.

I just verified this.

I took a photo, edited it, and then deleted all invisible files (which it listed all the files in there after i clicked on it). I then went back to the gallery to try to revert that image and it was unable to.
