Galaxy S- The battery started at 100% and stopped charging at 79%.
- After 13 hours of usage, it dropped to 45% with a Screen-On Time (SOT) of 2 hours and 31 minutes.
- Battery usage shows 39% consumed.
Here's an analysis:
1. **Battery Drain**: From 79% to 45%, the device lost 34% battery.
2. **Screen-On Time**: 2 hours and 31 minutes of SOT is moderate.
3. **Total Usage Time**: 13 hours of overall usage is decent.
Considering these factors, this battery performance seems to be average to slightly below average. It's not the best, as a 34% drop with 2.5 hours of SOT in 13 hours indicates a moderate usage pattern. A "best backup" scenario would usually involve a smaller drop in percentage with similar or higher SOT.
To improve battery life:
- Check for battery-draining apps.
- Adjust screen brightness.
- Use battery saver modes.
- Limit background processes.
- If this is a new issue, a battery calibration might help.

Galaxy S1. I have enabled maximum battery protection. So charging will not exceed 80% and it will stop charging once it reaches 80%.
2. I have put all the apps to 'Deep Sleep'
3. I kept Adaptive brightness. Please advise if i need to change it manually?
3. Battery saving mode is ON and profile is switched to 'light mode'
4. I'm using this phone since Jan 29 (pre-ordered). Till date My daily SOT is averaged to 2 hr 30 mins and daily battery usage is approx 40% (same as shown above, with ±5% variation)
Considering these factors, do I need to replace the battery, as i have Samsung care subscription?
