Hi everyone,

I wanted to share my experience and ask if anyone else is facing a similar issue.

After updating my Galaxy S23 Ultra to One UI 7, a green line appeared on the display out of nowhere. I took the phone to an authorized Samsung service centre, and they said the display had to be replaced. I ended up paying ₹18,000 for a new screen.

Here’s the part that really concerns me — they told me the warranty on the replaced display is only 90 days. That seems really short for such an expensive repair. Now I’m wondering:

What happens if the green line issue comes back after 90 days?

Will I have to pay another 18K again for the same issue?

Is this Samsung’s official policy?


It honestly feels like we’re being forced to pay for a known issue that may be related to software or hardware flaws. If that’s the case, then this is not just frustrating, it’s borderline unfair to loyal customers. How can we confidently recommend these phones to others when major issues like this aren’t backed by long-term support?

I’d really appreciate it if someone from Samsung or the community can clarify:

Does Samsung have any extended support or goodwill policies for cases like this?

Has anyone else faced the same issue after a software update?

Yes after 90 days if you get Green line again you have to pay again for display my s22 mobile display got Green line out of warranty I got free replacement from samsung care +
