Hello Samsung Members,

I'm writing to share a concerning issue I'm experiencing with my Samsung S21 FE and to seek advice from the community and Samsung support.

My device was purchased on October 28, 2022.

On May 12, 2025, I updated my S21 FE to Android 15 (One UI 7). Just a few days later, on May 23, 2025, a prominent green line appeared vertically on my screen.

Even before this, I had already developed dead pixels at the bottom of the display, which is another issue I've seen widely reported by other S21 FE users.

I understand from other posts here on Samsung Members that the green line issue, particularly after software updates (like One UI 7 / Android 15), is common for S21 FE users. I've seen posts indicating that Samsung has been offering free screen replacements for devices within a 3-year timeframe from the purchase date, provided there's no external damage.

Given that my phone's display has suffered from two known issues (dead pixels and now the green line after an official software update), and considering the widespread nature of this problem in the community, I am hoping for a resolution.

I plan to visit a local Samsung Service Center soon. Has anyone else with an S21 FE experienced both dead pixels and then a green line after the Android 15/One UI 7 update? What was your experience with getting it resolved, especially if your device was out of the standard 1-year warranty?

Any advice or information on how best to approach the service center with this combined issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and support.

Best regards, Gangula Kranthi

Hi Kranthi,

Thanks for raising this important issue. It's deeply concerning that the green line appeared just days after updating to Android 15 (One UI 7), especially when your device is still within the commonly referenced 3-year window.

The fact that this occurred *after an official software update*, along with the presence of dead pixels even earlier, clearly points to a pattern many S21 FE users are now reporting.

Samsung should take responsibility and provide free screen replacements where the issue arises without any external damage — especially when it's triggered by a system update.

You're not alone — many users are experiencing this after One UI 7, and we hope Samsung offers clarity and a consistent support policy for affected devices. Wishing you a smooth and fair resolution at the service center.

Hii kranthisha this is karthigeyan here , i also had same issue like you had , I had dead pixel on my display due to damage , at first my local store filed the complaint but at first refused to fix it for free

I was having 2 display line that time , I was having conversation with customer care they also didn't gave me proper response like physical damage doesn't cover, but I gave statment staring how come a 3 year old phone can't have any physical damage and they were still stating those policies things , I asked them to connect to higher official , later I was in contact like calling customer care every 3 days a week asking them to fix

In the mean time the display lines were also increasing and I was speaking for a month

At that time I was having 5 lines and my fingerprint gone and later then only the team accepted and fixed display and replaced battery for me freely
