HI Samsung,

I am deeply concerned and disappointed with the issues I have been facing recently with my Samsung S22 Ultra 512 GB. I purchased this device in September 2022, suddenly my phone started having vertical green lines and random reboots on 7th June 2025. I immediately visited the authorized Samsung service center - Balaji Communication on 12th June 2025. And I gave my phone to the Samsung service center. The Samsung service center repaired my phone and returned it on 26th June 2025. But the very next day my phone started having random reboots again. I visited the authorized Samsung service center - Balaji Communication on the same day. And after explaining the problem, the Samsung service center updated my phone software and returned it to me. And asked me to run it for a week. I started using my phone regularly. But the problem of random reboot started happening 2-3 times a day. I again visited the authorized Samsung service center - Balaji Communication. And explained the problem. But now Samsung service said that there is a problem in the motherboard. And it needs to be replaced. How can a software update cause such a serious hardware failure. They suggested a cost of INR 41,000 for motherboard replacement. Which is both unreasonable and unacceptable.

Now, this is something I never expected to happen to my device, especially since my experience with Samsung devices over the years has been very good. I also have apple & Onepluse devices and at least till now I have never faced such problems. I request you to look into this matter and help me find a suitable solution as I am currently unable to use my own mobile device.

After spending around Rs 1.25 lakh on a premium range Samsung smartphone, I don't intend to spend another Rs 41k to get it back to working condition and that too after using it for 2.5 years.

The authorized Samsung service center - Balaji Communication is advising to exchange the phone. Which is very suspicious. So I don't advise buying a Samsung mobile.

Go to local mobile repair center
They open the device
They will remove cpu
And reattach the same cpu
It will cost around 3000
Try this it will fix sure

Should any customers need to visit a service centre for issues caused by an update? This is malicious planned obsolescence. Boycotting Samsung is the best route

We informed Samsung about the random reboot issue. And after talking to the customer experience manager Deepanshi Arora, she said that we submitted the phone for a diagnostic report in customer care. After that, Deepanshi Arora said that the total cost of the repair will be Rs. 40898.71/-. We are giving 50% discount on the repair. But after updating my phone, the vertical green line appeared and the display changed. Then this problem has arisen. So what can the customer be responsible for the cost. However, the cost for the diagnostic report is to be paid by the customer, so they are not ready to give a report on why the problem occurred in the phone. If Samsung's premium phones also face this problem, then you should not recommend buy premium phones.

I also  faced the same issue with my S22 ultra after updating it to One UI 7, earlier it was working perfectly fine. Then after updating it to One UI 7 it starts restarting and freezing on it's own, I was shocked after seeing my device behaving like that which is a flagship one and now it is dead & is at samsung service center Agra ( INDIA). They informed  me that its motherboard got damage and need to replace and it will cost around 41k. I means what the hell why should I pay since it was a totally samsung fault, on one side samsung is promising 6 to 7 years of update and on other hand there devices which is a flagship device is unable to handle 3 years of updates and samsung is hiding behind the warranty guidelines.

Samsung is a cheater and not a trustworthy brand and till now samsung has not given any statement about all this.

Samsung should give a warranty exception or “courtesy repair” due to the update being the cause.
