Nightography - a term that came up during this year's UNPACKED. Love the term!
In this post, I am trying to break down Nightography. It's got so much. And it's also safe to say the Galaxy S22 Ultra is a feature packed phone 🙃
AI Stereo Depth Map - Where AI interprets what should be vivid in your image with improved object segmentation and capturing more details.
Large pixel sensor - Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 2.4 micrometre large pixel sensor that captures more light and anti reflective nano coating on the glass and lens so light travels to the sensor with fewer reflections.
Night Solution - When you shoot photos in low light, Night Solution captures multiple images, removes noise and blurry images, and the rest are merged into a single shot. Also uses AI again to enhance the shape and colour of the image.
Night Solution also extends to Portrait mode, Tele lens with 3x zoom and the front camera which I think is pretty cool and can't wait to put it to test.
For videos at night, S22 Ultra uses dual track image stabilisation with OIS and VDIS.
OIS - The lens moves in the opposite direction of motion and the lens has a 58% wider correctiom angle which means less shakes in the video.
VDIS uses software that analyses 4x motion data to improve quality.
Auto Frame Rate - And on top of all this, the phone also decides the frames per second (fps) for video capture by itself according to the lighting 🤯
Super Night Solution - If the frame rate drops below 24 fps, Super Night Solution captures 12 frames making videography possible in low light without comprimising quality.
With all these in the phone, I am almost sure this phone could nail photography and videography with clear improvements from the previous models. That being said, I can't wait to put all these to test 😁
What else are you excited about? Let me know.
