Anyone who has used the super slow motion would probably know how annoying the focus hunting is in that mode, and how ridiculously unusable it is making one of the coolest features of these phones.
The simplest and easiest solution would be to have a manual focus or at least a auto focus lock in super slow motion mode.
This could also potentially help improve the performance since it's one less task for the phone to do.
Dear Samsung, kindly consider this as a new feature for the future update.
The lack of manual or focus lock in the super-slo mode is incredible frustrating. I was using a bluetooth trigger to capture video of hummingbirds - not an easy task - but after each recording the camera would autofocus on the background. I had to touch focus every single time to keep the camera focus at the depth I wanted. You obviously can't do this when you are trying to make multiple recordings using a remote trigger. What makes this even more annoying, is that I have to repeatedly make recordings to keep the camera app from closing while waiting for a bird to show up. Why isn't there some way to prevent the app from exiting?
OMG ive literally scream cussed before from missing lightning shots of a lifetime because the app close out a second before the lightning struck. So frustrating.
This is absolutely correct, super slow mo is a very cool feature, but it's unusable because of auto focus. Atleast make it so that it doesn't focus unless tapped on a specific object on the screen.
