Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

If you want to is to view files, some android app might be able to access the device over network. The time capsule( and external disks connected to an airport) supports AFP and SMB prodtocols. If your device supports eihter of these you can acces the HD.

Note :kindly check the compatibility and then try again as you had tried before to connect.

Thank you for writing to Samsung.

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support

dear team, thanks for the response but I don't want to use any third party app and as Samsung already provide my files which now supports accessing network storage, I find it difficult to connect to it despite the updated firmware for my device. kindly check the issue

Same for me with SMB on S10e. While Total commander works, Samsung My files show an error.

For anyone having this problem.
Samsung "My Files" has a bug.
Fortunately it is easy to fix it.
Go to the router settings,USB Shareing and see if you have the same name at the "Network/Media Server Name:" and at "Access autentification-Username".
If the name is different it will not connect.
Samsung shoud fix this.

Hi, I'm having similar problem linking up with my nas.

samsung file manager is not finding devices because its still connected via your sim. Simply turn off your mobile data and then try scanning on samsung file manager. Bet it finds it.

While we shouldn't have to do this, it's a small thing that I feel has been missed in the updates.

Hope this helps
