I did cache wipe, uninstalled WhatsApp and installed WhatsApp, storage is only 40% full on S23 Ultra but still did not solve the problem. I called Samsung tech could not fix the problem. They told me best is to reset the phone which I am not happy to do so. Whatsapp was fine before the 6 update. Any tips?

Thank you, Moqbali. I did not have any issue before the update. I did uninstall and installed fresh whatsapp,wiped the cache, and had no update so far from whatsapp. I also wiped the cache from the recovery mode but still no luck. Samsung told me I have to do reformat 😳

I did complete reset of the phone, unfortunately the problem did not go away. After playing with all the setting I found if I disable the notifications on WhatsApp the problem disappear. But if I enable the notifications the problem returns!
