Hi,
I'm having issues with the Face recognition feature in my Galaxy S23 device. It doesn't work in the dim and low light. One have to adjust the face position so that the face can be recognized. Anyone having the same issue?

Turn on the brighten screen option in face recognition in the settings.

It uses the front camera so it's normal that the recognition will struggle in low light.

Thank you, but I used to have a VIVO phone prior to S23. In that device, I didn't struggled with face recognition.

There are 2 possible reasons for that
1) The vivo phone didn't have as much security as Samsung and unlock the device without having to analyze the face in detail like that in Samsung. Usually, less secure face - unlock systems are faster, when it's just using the front camera for the purpose.

2) The model you used might have used something like infrared tech to unlocked the device in dark(like the technique used in the well-known Poco f1).

Turn on brighter screen option from face recognition settings. Why don't you use fingerprint scanner?

Clean the camera lens and register again your face. It will improve accuracy.

I tried that, but no luck. I saw many people complaining about Face Recognition in S23 series. Maybe, Samsung needs to investigate it and rollout a fix.
