Clear cache and data for:
Samsung Media Storage
MediaSearch
CMHProvider
FaceService (if listed)
Tracking cleaning helped some users restore tagging .
2. Reset Gallery Person Data
Open Gallery → Settings → About Gallery, then tap the version multiple times to enable Gallery Labs.
Within Gallery Labs, tap Clear person information to reset all face indexes .
3. Rebuild the Media Index
Reboot your phone.
Enable auto power-saving off, disable battery protection, and connect to charger overnight with Wi‑Fi/Data off.
Several users report faces reappear by morning .
4. Tag One Person to Seed Recognition
Open any photo with a recognizable person, swipe up, tap the People icon, and manually add a tag/name.
This primes the system: after one manual tag, Gallery will often auto-index others .

To share the log file: Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on send feedback> Choose Composer> Select error report> Select the appropriate issue category> Type your query and send.
Note: To ensure relevant log information is included in the error report, submit the report within 3 minutes of encountering the bug or error, and do not terminate (swipe away) the Samsung Members application until you are notified that the report has been sent. This can take up to 5 minutes.
