As a dedicated Samsung enthusiast, I must express my profound disappointment. I recently upgraded my primary device, the Samsung S23 Ultra, to the S24 Ultra with great anticipation.

Regrettably, the S24 Ultra has fallen short of my expectations and proven to be a rather underwhelming device. It is with a heavy heart that I must admit that the camera quality, in particular, leaves much to be desired. In fact, I would venture to say that it may be one of the weakest camera systems in recent times.

To provide some context, I conducted a comparative analysis of the camera performance between the S24 Ultra and my secondary device, the Iqoo 12. The results were quite revealing. While the S24 Ultra does exhibit superior video capabilities, the quality of photographs, especially in casual and portrait modes, is simply unsatisfactory.

Given the absence of a return policy in India, I find myself in a rather challenging situation, unsure of how to proceed with this device!

I have many such comparisons, where Samsung failed big time. Samsung tends to brighten everything, crushes the blacks, over exposes the face, portrait is total **bleep** blur feels artificial. Too much processing on pictures.

I upgrade from s23 ultra to s24 ultra myself. Even I am disappointed with this.

I hope samsung releases a software update soon to fix all these as s23ultra during launch was also bad like this.

23 ultra was way better. Infact it simply outperformed iphone 14 pro series. Photography was one of the strong areas of ultra lineups. Now the crown has been taken by vivo! Just imagine how you feel when a device which costs 1/3 of your brand new flagship outperforms it! It was an instant regret for me. Just check out the various portrait photography features of iqoo 12 or any vivo phones. Samsung still live in 2020 software, what improvement they have brought to portrait Photography? Remember samsung set the benchmark. Unfortunately they are still living with that benchmark which now is first from the last. Very hard for me to digest after spending a good amount of money.
