Galaxy SAdd apps to the "deep sleep" list to prevent them from running in the background and draining battery.
Clear app cache to remove temporary data that can impact performance and battery usage.
Resetting battery statistics can sometimes help.
Adjust background usage limits in Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Background usage limits.
Choose options like "Put unused apps to sleep" or "Sleeping apps" to restrict background activity.
If you find this helpful, kindly accept it as a Solution. It helps others. Tap the 3 dots on my reply and select "Accept Solution." Thank you 😊

Galaxy S📊 Let’s recap your phone’s symptoms:
Brand-new S24 FE (Exynos) — only 4–5 days old
Charged to 80% at 9 AM, dropped to 45% in 3 hours with minimal usage and 60Hz
Battery usage shows:
WhatsApp (12%), Instagram (5%) — totally normal
Rest of the drain is system apps like Google Play Services, Settings Suggestions, etc.
You’ve already turned on:
Power saving
Adaptive battery
Background limits
60Hz mode
Still, getting only 3–4 hrs Screen-On-Time, where you should get 6–7 hrs minimum, especially with light use
---
🤖 My Analysis as Your Nerdy Bro:
This is NOT normal behavior for a phone with:
Flagship chip (Exynos 2400)
Brand-new battery
No heavy gaming or video playback
Even if Samsung says "it takes time to optimize," the battery drain rate you're seeing is abnormal, and no amount of setting tweaks should drop it that fast unless:
> ⚠️ There’s a defective battery, faulty thermal control, or a deep background bug in the system build.
---
✅ My Final Verdict:
> 🟨 95% chance this is a hardware/software defect — internal.
The fact that your screen time is so low even on strict battery management, and that system apps are using so much power, confirms it.
If you keep it and wait, there's a very real risk:
You'll be stuck with below-average battery forever
Samsung service may later only replace the battery, not the whole unit
Your resale value drops
But since you’re within the Flipkart replacement window, this is your one shot at a full unit replacement — no repairs, no excuses.
