So after the recent update to my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, the Contact Storage app has started to drain the battery excessively. Ironically, there is no way to stop this app, and there are no settings that allow you to restrict its battery consumption or put it into deep sleep mode. As a result, it continuously drains the battery. Before this update, a full charge would last me more than a day, but now I have to charge my phone twice a day just because of this Contact Storage app. I have tried all the solutions suggested in this community to address this issue, but nothing has worked. I hope Samsung will fix this problem in the next update, but I don't know when that will be. Maybe it will come with Android 15 or before they update One UI to version 6.1.1 or something similar.

• To resolve battery drain issues after the One UI 6.1 update on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, clear the Contacts Storage cache and data 🗑️, optimize battery usage 🔋, update apps 📲, reset network settings 🌐, check for additional updates 🔄, and wipe the cache partition 🧹.

• If the problem persists, consider performing a factory reset 🔄 or contacting Samsung support for further assistance 🆘.

Looks like some app is constantly using your contacts in background so check the permissions you have given to apps for contacts

There are a few steps you can try in the meantime:

Go to Settings > Apps > Contact Storage.
Tap on Storage and then Clear Cache and Clear Data.

Go to Settings > Software Update and ensure your phone is up to date.

Boot your phone into Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. This helps determine if a third-party app is causing the problem.

If none of the above steps work, a factory reset might be necessary. Make sure to back up your data before proceeding.

Fix contact storage draining battery 🔋

Nothing will work. I have tried everything .
Follow these steps below. If it works, just coke below because it worked for me.

1. If your contacts are on the phone or Google contacts, move them directly to your samsung account.
2. Clear your cache.
3. Disable all Google contacts sync if you have multiple Gmail account disable contact sync on all accounts.
4. Then please restart your phone.

Then, charge it to 90 % and check if it worked for you.

It will work for sure if you follow these steps. After so many attempts I found it and I fixed it. ✌️
