Galaxy SHow would any of this help if the phone was working fine for more than a year on Android 10 and the moment the phone was updated to Android 11 these problems occur? Did you even look at the suggestions on that link?

Galaxy SDoes Samsung acknowledge the battery drain issue as a bug?
Based on these replies from Samsung (completely useless suggestions for this issue), they probably won't do anything in any patch to solve this issue.

Galaxy SI have the same issue here. I did not update on purpose and then somehow the phone decided it was time to update. I was so excited :(
Now, I can't use my phone all day. and I'm not talking about it worked till 10 pm and now it works till 9pm. I am lucky to make it to 3pm now.
I was in a class all day today with the phone fully charged. by noon, it was down to 30% and it was just sitting next to me. No screen usage nothing. before, I would have been at 70%
Come on Samsung. stop messing this stuff up. I just want my phone to work and have a charge all day and to have your update not make my phone **bleep** worse. do you even test this stuff before you release it?

Galaxy SI too received the ill fated 11 and it is killing my battery too. All these suggestions to factory reset and go through all the settings and shut everythi g off is not a solution. We paid big dollars for our devices and my S10+ has been a magnificent device, especially because my battery would last 2 days easily if lightly used. Now, my phone has been off the charger for 10 hours and is down to 26%. I tried to find a way to flash back to Android 10 but can't unless I jail break it. I am not willing to do that. Samsung needs to fix this issue real soon. I am about ready to dump them due to their lack of service. Not a good practice

Galaxy SHey Guys, I belief I found a fix for the extensive battery drain and overheating:
Prior the update, my phone screen was set to 3040 x 1440 and after I faced the post update battery drain / overheating issue for almost 2 weeks now, I adjusted the resolution down to 1520 x 720 and then (because I disliked the quality loss) to 2280 x 1080. After I did that, my phone stopped overheating and the extensive battery drains seems to be gone.
Couple hrs later I thought I make a test: I turned back to 3040 x 1440 again and interestingly the extensive battery drain / overheating have not shown up again!
So it seems, for whatever reasons, the Android 11 update mess up something with the graphics and that can be “reset” by switching the resolution.
Please try this approach and provide feedback here in the forum, to let me know, if you can reproduce the positive effect.
BTW: Don’t forget to press “Apply” button on the bottom once you changed the resolution setting.
