display pink line

a week back i started to see a black spot on my top left screen i though it was some software issue then after few days a vertical pink line appeared from nowhere and it's not going.

The pink line and balck spot are often software issues

Go to the dialer and type *#0*# and there tap ton red green blue and see if the line or spots disappeares.

And if it doesn't go off then that's definitely hardware issue and the black spot could be a dead pixel area

Ok then I'm afraid you're out of luck coz that ain't a software issue thats a display issue and the black spot is a dead pixel .

I would suggest you to talk to samsung customer service and get help.

i talked to the customer care they said it's a display issue and i need to visit service centre and as my phone still have 1 month of warranty left  the issue is covered

As i expected it was hardware issue but good to hear that your damage is covered.

As i googled this was a major issue for s7 edge phones
Do you have the same phone ?
