Galaxy NoteHi All, You may have seen this problem already in
1)Initially, when I unlock phone by pressing power button the display was changed to dim colour(mostly yellowish) and with horizontal lines displayed when the brightness is below 50%. After tried with multiple times pressing on power button the display came back to normal.
2) Next stage, it's not solved with power button. I have to keep my phone aside for some time to get back to normal display. It's been 15 to 20 min then.
3) Now, I would get normal display only in morning. Else, I need to keep my phone idle without touching for at least 4 to 5 hours. I've also changed screen power off time from 30 Sec to 10 Minutes. So that my screen wont turn off and I can keep the normal display. If I forgot to use or kept aside more than 10 min then my screen would go off and display would gone again and irritation starts with that discoloration problem..
4) If display changes to yellowish to reduce the horizontal lines problem I need to increase the brightness to 80 or 85% but this causing my phone with another problem "heating issue"

Galaxy NoteSame issue with my Note 9 as well. I have already reported this in the community and below is the link:-
Is Samsung really listening to the ordeal of so many Note 9 users ? Is this the treatment given to one of its flagship owners. Worst part is nobody from Samsung coming out with the announcement to address the concern and provide a timeline for the fix. They should immediately communicate about release to fix the bug or recall these faulty so called flagship piece of brick.

Galaxy NoteWith so many people complaining, @samsungssupport is listening to everyone like fresh problem and saying get the phone for inspection. Just plain blind eye towards the problem they introduced. And the filthy hardware which cannot tolerate simple software bug. I'm sure the display has given up cos of that, instead of asking us to "pay" for display they should really come forward to offer "recall" like the car companies do. Considering a phone never dropped never having a single scratch, just dying for no physical reason is totally unacceptable. It's something is Samsung doesn't acknowledge, will be like Note 7 debacle, remember when apple had made voluntary replacement of batteries to everyone when faced with criticism! This is no different if not more serious. Else never Samsung again, compete with good spirit not like coward.

Galaxy NoteI'm also having the same issue with my Note 9. I contacted Gulf Samsung support and the support service is really disappointing.

Galaxy NoteHad the same problem since late March. It heated up for no reason while browsing the web. At first it was less frequent, manage to unlock using thumb scanner or pattern draw without discolouration. Then it got worse, need to double tap (show always on display) screen prior unlocking to ensure no discolouration. Finally today it began to flicker when tapped and the screen went from dim to yellowish all over could not even unlock sporadically...Argggghhh

Galaxy NoteI having the same issue as well as everyone. i have been diligently updating didnt see any such problem until last friday. i checked up updates. the last one was in april 2020. i have applied the march update much longer than that and didnt have any problem until last week.
In terms od support? samsung really need to step up. if a lousy update is made they should immeidiate issue a rollback. Why ask customers to bring to service centre? i suspect they will load the older update on the phone and doing a series of internal steps. Saw some online way to load older updates but run risk of phone unable to boot or start so better not in such times of limited access to service centre.
the development life cycle on testing on the updates is quite bad. rolling out updates that affects thousands. This definately put existing owner of samsung to reconsider going for alternate brands. No one need to be loyal to a brand. market moving so fast. Hopefully this is not a way that corporate organization does to generate new sales for their newer model which can backfire.
