Note 8 update issue

Very serious issues after July security update which was released today for India.

SIM card read error, No IMEI#, Cannot login to Samsung services. SIM manager freezing.

Require urgent OTA fix as I am without phone service now.

If you have a pc download Smartswitch then connect your phone than on Smartswitch then clicl on emergency software update it will restore your software and will fix all issues

What should be entered as recovery code? I did tried it, but it was asking for recovery code. Or any idea to bypass it?

when phone gets bricked only we get the emergency recovery code or the update is interrupted from downloading option as error code.

Guys, I just been to Samsung Service Center in Pune and the Center's engineer confirmed me with the build issue. He told me he spoke to head and a new binary will be rolled out at center by today evening. He asked me to come back that time and take the necessary data backup as the phone will be formatted. There was one more guy who faced the same issue and was with me at the center. What's the update from your respective locations? I am now back on my old Nokia to receive call as do not have a 4G spare handset at home. It seems like a lazy employee from Samsung India rolled out an update without verifying or testing it.

I visited service center in Delhi, service center already had 4 Note-8 phones with them with the same issue. But service center people had no idea what do to. they said that we sent email to Samsung and awaiting their revert. if this will be fixed by software then it will be free else motherboard might be replaced and customer has to pay for this amount if phone is out of warranty.

This is a a serious issue Samsung caused to us and now they have to fix it without any cost. i would request all users not to pay single penny to them. fight for free repair or replacement.
