Is Note 20 not eligible for 5G connectivity?

I am currently facing an issue in which I am not able to switch my network settings to 5G. I can only find options such as 'LTE/3G/2G'. Is there an upcoming update for the note 20 phones which would make it compatible with 5G? Or should I render my phone not compatible with 5G ever?

Yes, Note 20 is 5G but you need to compromise with software updates because after One Ui 5.1 it's Software update has been Stopped. Anyway if you need only 5G you are good to go.

Oh, I see. But I am not able to find the 5G or VoLTE option in the phone even after the update. Just as a reminder, mine is not the Note 20 ultra

Hey Bud 🙏only the Note 20 Ultra 5G or the Note 20 5G variants support 5G. the regular Note 20 does not have the required hardware. 5G requires a compatible modem chip, not just a software setting.this is not related to software or updates & there’s no firmware patch that can enable 5G on your phone.
VoLTE is different from 5G it should be available on most LTE devices, but whether you see the option depends on carrier support.some carriers Auto enable VoLTE,hide the toggle,restrict VoLTE unless the SIM/profile is VoLTE capable.In some countries, Samsung hides the VoLTE toggle because carriers push settings automatically.😊

Thank you for the clarification. I actually don't remember if mine was a 5G or not. I think the next step would be to get in touch with the carrier and see if they could provide some support and confirm what you mentioned. Again, thank you for the help 😁
