I updated software on my note 9 yesterday and i lost some contacts. When i try to save again it says contact already exist but i cant see it.

When i tried to save from whatsApp i saw the names but it tells you cant update read only contacts... what to do?

Hi Yaoai,
Open Contacts > (contacts app from the appscreen) > Tap on the three lines menu on top left > Tap contact to display ("google" in my screenshot) > Tap All contacts.
Then Goto Settings > Apps > Contacts > Storage > Clear Cache and restart your device.
