Noticed small pink dots on the side of my six months old M21 yesterday evening.  Within less than 12 hours, the pink dots expanded to cover almost quarter of my mobile.  There is no physical damage, in fact I've been using a screen guard and a thick back cover from day one.  What else can one do to protect the device ?

I went to a nearby authorized service center (Marina Mall,Chennai,India) , the guy there didn't even  flinch. He said, "This is not covered in warranty".  He won't talk anything further, he was very quiet when I asked him to show me any evidence of physical damage.

Apparently, it could be repaired at a cost ,which is almost half the actual price of the product. Really? The onus is on the consumer for a poorly manufactured product? Why would I pay more money when there is no guarantee that it will last more than half a year? Anyone had any luck in getting this repaired with warranty?

Clearly,  Samsung is aware of this prevalent issue and has an SOP in place for dealing with visitors to the service center.  This is pretty evident from the number of posts about expanding pink spots  on this forum.

If you have use in fait conditions then raise a dispute over Samsung website.and then see their response otherwise best is that go to consumers forum online if you believe that no physical damage is there by your side

Thank you for your suggestion. I'm still following up with Samsung over email on this. I have raised a complaint on National consumer forum as well. Hoping there will be some progress next week

Well, I think you are projecting here. I have a 4+ year old Nexus 5x and 6 months old Samsung S21.I use them almost the same way. If M21 can't take the pressure of my pockets, surely I have every right to it question it's build quality?

Different products have different materials...yes 5x was flagship phone of its time cost above 30k and m21 under half price so u can't say u have rights to have premium build and materials according to price of the phone...
