Galaxy MI went to a nearby authorized service center (haryana panchkula india) , the guy there didn't even flinch. He said, "This is not covered in warranty". He won't talk anything further, he was very quiet when I asked him to show me any evidence of physical damage.
Apparently, it could be repaired at a cost ,which is almost half the actual price of the product. Really? The onus is on the consumer for a poorly manufactured product? Why would I pay more money when there is no guarantee that it will last more than half a year? Anyone had any luck in getting this repaired with warranty?
Clearly, Samsung is aware of this prevalent issue and has an SOP in place for dealing with visitors to the service center. This is pretty evident from the number of posts about expanding pink spots on this forum.
