Nope, it's true that the issue indicates a motherboard problem. You do not necessarily have to replace the motherboard if you can get the CPU reballed at a local repair shop.Note: The device can sustain permanent damage if the CPU reballing fails.

They informed that the motherboard needs to be replaced, with an estimated cost of ₹22,500.Given that this issue arose following a software update, shouldn't Samsung be held accountable for the malfunction?

It happened with me, i had both green and pink lines. All they need is your invoice, to validate the date of purchase. It should be less then 3 yrs of purchase where warranty is no concern. They charged me only labour charges, parts came almost free.
