I will recommend not to use thermal guardian and other battery related apps just try optimization in battery sleeping unused apps i hope it will work for you give it a try.
Agree bro i dont play games much but on a 4k video most of the phones get heated and i dont face any issues with normal moderate issues i was using oneplus 9 pro before s22+ 9 pro was a heat box m happy with my s22+
