Will the Samsung A12 get a One UI update, bring apps like SmartThings and Secure Folder?

I have just bought a Samsung A12 and I am very disappointed to find it is incompatible with apps like SmartThings and Secure Folder.

I've done a little digging and it sounds like maybe there'll be an update in August 2021 for the One UI.

Can anyone confirm whether this update will put the A12 on One UI or keep it on One UI Core and therefore be unable to use apps like this? 

I find it so stupid these apps are withheld like this.

M31s and M51 both running OneUI Core version...it's support Secure Folder.....

No update will change a One UI Core device to a full One UI device. That is for sure.
