How can Samsung still be considered one of the best producers of HD TV's?  I had owned my 65" 8000 series TV for 15 months when the entire right side developed a darkened shadow.

I came here and was originally pleased that Samsung responded, stood by their product and sent out a serviceman to my home to repair the issue.  That was November of last year (2020).

Last night, in the middle of a show, the shadow re-appeared although now it's right down the middle. Remember, TV is still less than 3 years old.

Absolutely disgusted and will never purchase or recommend a Samsung product again. I regret listening to recommendations and ratings that (still) considered them at the top of this industry.

LG or Toshiba from now on...my search begins.

In my experience, 3 years is the maximum any tv will last. It is their Mean Time Before Failure(MTBF). Unlike CRT, this is the normal lifespan of flat penal TV.
