I recently purchased M31 handset,  I  am using Vodafone n Airtel sim in mobile. Both are the fastest 4G network in my area. after starts to use this mobile, initially handset start heating but after SW update i am facing network problem very badly while others family member getting good network speed in the same network & same location with Samsung handset like J7 prime and J6..

I am too facing same issue. this is poor when compared with 4GB ram MI A1 phone

Yeah bro :( ..., I'm also facing very bad network issues  with M31, before I had MI Note 5 Pro which far better than this M31 ... I didn't expect this kind of problems from brand new phone that too SAMSUNG ...to get internet  I should have to go upstairs ..don't know SAMSUNG would come forward to solve this issue ....let's hope for the best that's it

Please perform the below mentioned steps to resolve the issue:

 

1. Check device network mode settings
Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > network mode SIM1 or SIM2 > network mode.

 

2. Check network operator settings
Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network operators > Select automatically > OK > Registered on network.

Note: We recommend to set device network operators as LTE/3G/2G (auto connect) mode.

 

For further assistance, register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback > Error report/Ask questions).
