So randomly I was exploring Camera settings and found a setting to click the photo on voice commands like Cheeze shoot etc.

So basically with this when I was taking a photo using a voice command camera will be using the camera as well as microphone(because it needs to listen all the time to listen when I say the word similar to google assistant). But only the camera indicator is turned on.

So can the system camera bypass the android microphone indicator?

And one more question i got while writing this topic,
Google app listen all the microphone audio till 'ok Google' keyword is recognized so can google assistant bypass that microphone usage from microphone indicator?

Good observation and question.

I don't use voice commands or digital Assistant, so not sure about the icon indicators.

When actually recording a video, i do see both camer and microphone indicators.

But if you are using voice assistants that is constantly looking for voice commands, you'll have the microphone indicator on all the time. So may be the OS makes an exception for the voice assistant in such cases. But I'm not sure.

These all indicators are just too fool us, everything is in use in todays digital world. They just give us false assurance so that we don't question them.

Not sure if it's there or not, honestly I don't care , companies are accessing data anyhow.
